2017 will be a transition year for government adoption of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. Although there will be increased adoption of analytical technologies the public sector will remain laggards in machine learning, cognitive computing and artificial intelligence, except in the field of national security. Healthcare is the emerging public sector market – expect more widespread adoption in 2018.
